Georgia O'Keeffe (1887-1986), légende américaine encore à découvrir en Europe, est une icône aux États-Unis. Tour à tour pionnière de la première peinture moderniste américaine, de la recherche identitaire qui marque les années 1930 et de la peinture agstraite "hard edge" des années 1950, le parcours de cette artiste surprend et fascine.
