Le nouveau musée, à la scénographie épurée et élégante, est situé dans la cour d'honneur de la prestigieuse abaye royale de Fontevraud dans le bâtiment de la Fannerie. La donation d'une grande partie de la collection personnelle de Martine et Léon Cligman, couple épris d'art, constitue le fonds de ce musée d'art moderne.
Ouvert tous les jours depuis le 19 mai 2021.

Antoni Gaudi (1852-1926) incarne l'Art nouveau. Maisons Mila, Calvet ou Batllo, par Güel... chacune de ces créations témoigne d'un goût de l'hyperbole, qui trouvera son point culminant avec la Sagrada Familia. Architecte génial et inventif, il marquera Barcelone de ses constructions organiques, ondulantes, colorées, dynamiques et fantastiques.
